The worlds most important industry fair for innovation and technology, Hannover Messe, took place in the last week of April in the capital of Lower Saxony. During five days of the fair, more than 210,000 visitors appeared in total, around one third from abroad.

On the first day of the fair, the opening speeches were held, among others by Chancellor Angela Merkel and the Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto. The reason for the high visit from Central America was the choice of this year’s partner country: Mexico.

“Hecho en México”

Over 160 Mexican exhibitors informed the visitors about new technology topics, investment opportunities, innovative growth strategies and research projects in their home country.

From left: Klaus Hübner (Santander Bank) and Timo Dolleschel (WMP Mexico Advisors) discussing the topic of “Corporate culture and corporate governance in comparison Mexico Germany” at Hannover Messe 2018 (April 26).

In the context of this year’s partner country Mexico, panel discussions were held, for example, “Corporate culture and corporate governance in comparison Mexico Germany”, organized by the Business Association for Latin America (LAV). In addition to WMP, other business representatives (see photo) took part and shared their experiences of everyday business life to the audience.

Both countries, Germany and Mexico, were able to draw a successful balance on the last day of the fair: never before during the Hannover Messe did more economic agreements between the host country and the partner country take place, as this year.
